The incident resulted in the partial closure of the Central Terminal Area tunnel and the multi-storey parking facility.

Two men have been charged following a luggage theft where a believed to be irritant spray caused injuries at the UK's busiest airport.

Tyrone Richards, 31, and Anton Clarke-Butcher, 24, have both been charged with two robbery charges and charges for administering a noxious substance, according to official statements.

The charges follow an investigation into an assault at the multi-storey car park at Heathrow's Terminal Three on the weekend. Before the assault occurred, two women were robbed of their suitcases stolen after exiting a parking garage elevator, authorities reported.

A three-year-old girl was among those injured in the event. Several persons were taken to a medical facility and were eventually allowed to go home.

The incident – described by police as was isolated and deemed non-terroristic – resulted in train delays and the temporary blocking of the main airport road tunnel and the T3 parking area for a brief period.
